You're the Hero, now let's make an entrance!

People need to know what your powers are and what you stand for. Your name is your identity, you don’t have to hide behind a mask or a hand-sewn super suit, you get to tell the world who you are.

Use your name for everything. People are voting for YOU. When people visit your sites they should immediately know who you are, and what you represent. Make sure you are genuine while showing your relevance to the voters.

We’ve outlined some essential social media tools you need when running for office.

Design a Logo

This logo will be used for everything, so you want to make sure it stands out and is noticeable. Use your name, so that your name becomes easily recognized, as mentioned above your name is your brand. You should also pick a color scheme here and use it for the rest of your campaign content for continuity.

Here are a few sites we recommend to create a logo

Create Social Media Pages

We are in a day and age of digital media. Social media pages are critical for you to interact with your voters. You can let them know what events you will be at, what your opinion is on the issues, how the campaign is going, and any other relevant information. Just make sure you can keep up with the pages you create, you don’t want to start a page and put no content on it.

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • TikTok
  • Linkedin

If used effectively and actively, each one of these can be a valuable tool for your political campaign.

Set up an Election Email

Create a campaign email. Something that ties in your name or office such as: name@gmail.com or  votenameforoffice@gmail.com

Set up an Email List

We recommend using MailChimp to build your list and send out mass emails. It’s free for up to 2,000 contacts! It’s a simple tool but can help you design some great looking emails.

Use the names from your team and your followers to begin building your email list. Load the names into MailChimp and make sure to include an email subscription option on your website.

Create a Website

These days, anybody can sit at home with their ballot and google your name. You want to have a campaign website for voters to go to so they don’t just click on any random link that has your name. Once again, your domain should include your name, maybe the office your running for, but most importantly, your name.

More than just a domain name, you need to design a nice website. With the great tools available today, it doesn’t take a lot to create a good website for a political candidate.

Set up an Online Fundraising Tool

You don’t want to lose any information that could help you raise more money. That’s why it’s critical to set up a donor management tool and a way to take online donations! In a shameless plug, we recommend FundHero as your go-to donor management and fundraising tool where you can easily track donors and create an online donation page.

Overall. Keep it simple and make it neat! We can’t emphasize this enough. Today’s technology makes it really easy to create nice marketing tools.
